Touched By Our Generosity
In response to 1st Friday Devotions and 1st Saturday Devotion--I would like to attempt to bring to our Parish (Both St. Mary's and St. Elizabeth's) a first Sunday outreach program entitled "Touched by our Generosity." What I'd like to do is the folowing:
1. I would like to take donations before the 11 am Mass, not of money but of food and clothing to feed and clothe the needy. I am working ont he details of what groups these food and clothes will go to. I am currently speaking to St. Ann's and St. Joseph's in Peoria and local facilities.
2. During the Mass we will bring these gifts up witht he bread and wine. And after Mass bring the donations to the needy. In the long term a dream of mine is to start a St. Vincent DePaul Society in our Parish.
